LAUREA processes your personal data in the context of its activities. This concerns:
Cookies - Each time you use our website, various personal data may be collected about you based on cookies and similar technologies, in particular your IP address, surfing behaviour, the date and duration of use of our website and other visitor data. More information on how we use cookies can be found in article 7;
Customer data - If you use our website or use our services, we may collect the following customer data about you: your surname, first name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, bank account number, the name of your company, VAT number and any other data you voluntarily provide to us;
Supplier data - If you are a (potential) supplier, we process the following personal data about you: your surname, first name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, bank account number, the name of your company, VAT number and any other data you voluntarily provide to us;
Event participants - If you participate in our events, we collect the following personal data about you: your surname, first name, e-mail address, profession, organisation and any other data you voluntarily provide to us;
Communication data - If you call or email us or submit a contact form, we collect the following personal data: your name, e-mail address, telephone number, as well as the data you provide to us;
Data for direct marketing - If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your name, e-mail address, the name of your company and your area of interest.
Article 2 Purposes of the processing of data
General purposes: We will use your personal data exclusively for:
Cookies - to maintain and improve our website and the user experience and to include personal data in statistics, on the legal basis of your explicit, prior consent;
Customer data - for the delivery and invoicing of services ordered by you, based on the necessity to perform a contract and in order to comply with our legal accounting obligations;
Supplier data - to send you an invitation to tender, place an order, pay your invoices and communicate with you, based on the necessity to perform a contract. Based on our legitimate interest we are allowed to send newsletters to existing suppliers with whom we have concluded a contract;
Event participants - for the delivery of the agreed services to the participants who have validly registered, with the performance of a contract as a legal basis;
Communication data - in order to be able to answer your question or request, on the legal basis of your explicit, prior consent online and our legitimate interest in contacting you by telephone;
Data for direct marketing - to inform you about the services we offer and to send you newsletters, offers and promotions based on our legitimate interest regarding existing customers or people interested in our services, or your explicit, prior consent in all other cases. You can indicate at any time that you no longer wish to receive our newsletters by clicking on the link in each of our emails or by contacting us directly by e-mail or telephone.
Article 3 How we share your personal data with third parties
In certain circumstances, we may share your personal data with third parties:
public authorities, courts and police forces on the basis of a court order or in order to comply with other mandatory laws or regulations;
financial institutions;
BlueGround (accountant);
Mollie (payment provider);
Mailchimp (mass mailing provider);
Sharepoint (data storage);
Squarespace (website platform).
2. We share your personal data with a limited number of third party service providers located outside the European Economic Area, specifically Mailchimp and Squarespace. In order to ensure an adequate level of protection of your personal data, we ensure that appropriate security measures are in place for each transfer. As such, Mailchimp and Squarespace rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. In addition, we conclude data processing agreements with all other third parties.
2. If we ever cease our activities or transfer them to someone else, for example if we sell our business, this could mean that your personal data will be transferred to third parties who will take over all or part of our business. In that case, we will always inform you in advance to the best of our ability, but you acknowledge that this may not be technically or commercially feasible under all circumstances.
Article 4 Duration of the processing
We will retain your personal data for as long as this is necessary in accordance with the purposes of processing and legal provisions.
We will store your invoicing data for at least 7 years following the last invoice date. We keep customer and supplier data as long as necessary for the performance of the service and for a maximum of 1 year after the end of the agreement. We retain participant data for up to 1 year after the event.
Article 5 Your rights
You have the right to access your personal data and the ways in which we use them at any time, free of charge. You have the right to request us to correct, supplement or remove your personal data. In a number of cases listed in the GDPR, you may also ask us to limit the processing of your personal data. You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data if you have serious and legitimate reasons that exceed our need to process your data. You also have the right to object at any time to the use of personal data for direct marketing purposes, even without having to give a reason. You have the right to request your personal data in digital and readable form and/or to have them transferred to another service provider of your choice. Insofar as our processing is based on your prior consent, you have the right to revoke that consent at any time.

Article 6 How we secure your personal data
We have taken the appropriate technical and organisational security measures to ensure the safety of your personal data. As such your personal data is secured with login and password and we use antivirus software. We ensure that our service providers always have the necessary security measures in place before we transfer any personal data.
Under no circumstances can LAUREA be held liable for any direct or indirect damage resulting from the incorrect or unlawful use of personal data by a third party.

LAUREA verwerkt in het kader van haar werkzaamheden de volgende persoonsgegevens van u:

Communicatiegegevens - Als u ons belt, mailt of een contactformulier indient, dan kunnen we de volgende persoonsgegevens verzamelen: uw naam, e-mailadres, telefoonnummer, evenals de gegevens die u zelf vrijgeeft;
Gegevens voor direct marketing - Als u zich inschrijft op onze nieuwsbrief, dan verzamelen we uw naam, e-mailadres, de naam van uw bedrijf en uw interessegebied.
Artikel 2 Waarvoor gebruiken we uw persoonsgegevens?
Algemene doeleinden: Wij gebruiken uw persoonsgegevens uitsluitend als volgt:
Cookies - om onze Website te onderhouden, om de gebruikservaring te verbeteren en om persoonsgegevens op te nemen in statistieken, met als rechtsgrond uw expliciete, voorafgaande toestemming.
Klantgegevens - voor de levering en facturatie van door u bestelde diensten, met als rechtsgrond de uitvoering van een overeenkomst en om te voldoen aan onze wettelijke boekhoudkundige verplichtingen.
Leveranciersgegevens - om u een offerte-aanvraag toe te sturen, een bestelling te plaatsen, uw facturen te betalen, met u te communiceren met als rechtsgrond de uitvoering van een overeenkomst. Aan bestaande leveranciers kunnen wij op basis van ons gerechtvaardigd belang nieuwsbrieven versturen.
Deelnemers aan evenementen - voor de levering van de overeengekomen diensten aan de deelnemers die zich geldig hebben ingeschreven, met als rechtsgrond de uitvoering van een overeenkomst.
Communicatiegegevens - om uw vraag of verzoek te kunnen behandelen, met als rechtsgrond uw expliciete, voorafgaande toestemming online en ons gerechtvaardigd belang bij telefonisch contact.
Gegevens voor direct marketing - om u te informeren over de diensten die wij aanbieden en nieuwsbrieven, acties en promoties te versturen, met als rechtsgrond ons gerechtvaardigd belang ten aanzien van bestaande klanten of personen die interesse hebben getoond in onze diensten, dan wel uw expliciete, voorafgaande toestemming in alle andere gevallen. U kan op elk ogenblik aangeven dat u niet langer onze nieuwsbrieven wenst te ontvangen door te klikken op de link in elk van onze e-mails of door ons rechtstreeks te contacteren per mail of telefoon.
Artikel 3 Wie ontvangt uw persoonsgegevens?
1. In bepaalde omstandigheden moeten wij uw gegevens delen met derden:
overheidsinstanties, gerecht en politiediensten op basis van een gerechtelijk bevel of om te voldoen aan andere dwingende wet- of regelgeving;
financiële instellingen;
BlueGround (boekhouder);
Mollie;
Mailchimp;
Sharepoint;
Squarespace.
2. We delen uw persoonsgegevens met een beperkt aantal derde dienstverleners die gevestigd zijn buiten de Europese Economische Ruimte, meer bepaald Mailchimp en Squarespace. Om een adequaat niveau van bescherming van uw persoonsgegevens te garanderen, zorgen wij bij elke doorgifte voor gepaste veiligheidsmaatregelen. Als zodanig maken Mailchimp en Squarespace gebruik van de modelcontractbepalingen van de Europese Commissie. Daarnaast sluiten wij verwerkersovereenkomsten met alle andere derden.
3. Als wij onze activiteiten ooit stopzetten of overdragen aan iemand anders, bijvoorbeeld omdat we onze activiteiten verkopen, dan kan dat betekenen dat uw persoonsgegevens aan derden, die geheel of gedeeltelijk onze activiteiten gaan overnemen, worden overgedragen. Wij zullen u in dat geval steeds in de mate van het mogelijke vooraf informeren, maar u begrijpt dat dit niet onder alle omstandigheden technisch of commercieel haalbaar is.
Artikel 4 Hoelang bewaren we uw persoonsgegevens?
Wij bewaren uw persoonsgegevens zolang dit noodzakelijk is in functie van de doeleinden van de verwerking.
Uw facturatiegegevens bewaren we om wettelijke redenen minstens 7 jaar na de laatste factuurdatum. Klant- en leveranciersgegevens bewaren we zolang als nodig voor de overeengekomen dienstverlening en tot maximaal 1 jaar na afloop daarvan. Gegevens van deelnemers bewaren we tot maximaal 1 jaar na het evenement.
Artikel 5 Uw rechten
U heeft het recht om op elk moment gratis kennis te nemen van uw persoonsgegevens en van het gebruik dat wij van die persoonsgegevens maken. U heeft het recht om ons te verzoeken uw persoonsgegevens te verbeteren, aan te vullen of te verwijderen. U mag in een aantal gevallen opgesomd in de GDPR ook vragen om de verwerking van uw persoonsgegevens te beperken. U heeft het recht om zich te verzetten tegen de verwerking van uw persoonsgegevens als u daar ernstige en legitieme redenen voor hebt die onze noodzaak om uw gegevens te verwerken overstijgen. U heeft ook steeds het recht om zich te verzetten tegen het gebruik van persoonsgegevens voor doeleinden van direct marketing, zelfs zonder daarvoor een reden te moeten aangeven. U beschikt over het recht om uw persoonsgegevens in digitale en leesbare vorm op te vragen en/of aan andere verantwoordelijken over te laten dragen aan een andere dienstverlener van uw keuze. Voor zover onze verwerking gebaseerd is op uw voorafgaande toestemming, heeft u het recht om die toestemming in te trekken.

Artikel 6 Hoe beveiligen we uw persoonsgegevens?
Wij hebben de gepaste veiligheidsmaatregelen genomen op technisch en organisatorisch vlak om de veiligheid van uw persoonsgegevens te garanderen. Zo zijn de persoonsgegevens beveiligd met login en paswoord en maken we gebruik van antivirussoftware. We zien er op toe dat onze dienstverleners steeds de nodige beveiligingsmaatregelen in stand hebben alvorens we persoonsgegevens zouden doorgeven.
In geen geval kan LAUREA aansprakelijk worden geacht voor enige directe of indirecte schade die voortvloeit uit een foutief of onrechtmatig gebruik door een derde van de persoonsgegevens.
